📖 The Origin Story
It was a perfectly ordinary Tuesday morning. The teacher began calling attendance, working through the register one name at a time. Students answered dutifully. "Here." "Present." "Yes miss."
Then came the moment that would change everything.
The teacher called the name. There was a brief pause — the kind of pause that precedes greatness. And then, clearly and with absolute confidence, a voice rang out across the classroom:
Nobody laughed. Nobody questioned it. Deep down, everyone in that room understood that something true had just been spoken aloud. The teacher marked him present. What else could she do?
From that day forward, he was Foot. The nickname spread through the school at a speed scientists have struggled to explain. Within a week, teachers were using it. Within a month, it was on the lunch register. By Christmas, it was simply his name.
He has never once seemed surprised by any of this. He knew what he was. He simply told everyone.
🎯 What Foot is Like
Elite Gamer
Foot plays video games at a level that defies conventional biology. He has no hands, which should be a significant disadvantage. It is not. Experts believe he may be using his toes. Foot has neither confirmed nor denied this.
Visionary Artist
Foot creates art in the traditional foot-painting style, a medium he essentially invented (or at minimum, reinvented). His works have been described as "expressive", "bold", and "please stop using the good towels."
Pokémon Scholar
Foot's knowledge of Pokémon is encyclopaedic. His favourite is Pikachu, whom he respects deeply. He once recited 150 Pokédex entries from memory during a car journey. Nobody asked him to. He did it anyway.
Deeply Calm
Foot possesses an unusual serenity for someone of his age. He is rarely flustered. When asked difficult questions, he considers them quietly, then usually gives an answer that is either very wise or completely unrelated. Both are equally valid.
Universally Liked
It is essentially impossible to dislike Foot. Scientists and sociologists have studied this. The current leading theory is that the name "Foot" is so inherently good-natured that it simply puts people at ease. Secondary theory: he is just a great kid.
Committed to the Bit
Some people say things for a laugh and move on. Foot said "I am a foot" and fully committed. It has been over a year. He shows no signs of walking it back. If anything, his conviction has deepened.

No other student has claimed to be a foot, making Foot the clear and undefeated champion in this category.
Witnesses are unable to agree on exactly what happened. Foot smiled and said nothing.
